Occultist's Guide to Summoning - by T.A. Saunders ©2015 v1.0

Celestials

Any being summoned from either Indaris, the Bright Heavens, Klaadhal, the Crossroads or Mirdahl, the Astral Realm is considered celestial, providing they are of lawful or in some cases, neutral ethos. For a being to be considered celestial, they must also serve a deity of lawful or neutral alignment that employs said beings as their agents across the Multiverse. There are four classifications of summoned celestials:

Virtues

These are the least powerful, and most common of celestial beings. Angelic Servants, Child Cherubim, Faerie-Kin and Blessed Lights are amongst the usual sorts of Virtues a lawful or neutral deity may employ. (Celestialists of newbie chronicles will only be able to summon this sort of celestial being, unless otherwise specified by an op).

Dominions

Stronger than Virtues, Dominions make up the bulk of a celestial army. High Asyndi, Valkyries and certain Eihnaseeli, such as Nymphs are examples of Dominion class celestials. Dominions often have a class path, but are not usually paragon, or dual-classed. Only the strongest of this particular sort of celestial will be named. (Dominions can be summoned by Celestialists of mid-range chronicles, or newbie chronicles if an exceptional Research roll is made, with op discretion).

Seraphim

Extremely powerful celestials, these beings are always named and are either paragon in a class, or dual-classed. These beings have very specific rites that must be followed and adhered to, in order to call them forth and are valued by the deities that employ them (in other words, abusing them or their power is ill-advised). War Saints, Eihnaseeli Nobles, and certain named High Asyndi or named Valkyries are examples of Seraphim class celestials. (Seraph class celestials can only be summoned by Celestialists of high end chronicles or mid-range chronicles if an exceptional Research roll is made, with op discretion).

Archangel

The strongest form of celestial, these beings are always named, are always either dual-classed or a paragon in their chosen profession, and will be exceedingly well-armed with armor, weapons and magic of the highest caliber, possibly artifact-rated. Under no circumstances should the arrival of an Archangel class celestial be taken lightly, as they have direct communication with their deity. It is also highly ill-advised to attempt to force one into servitude, unless one is very willing to incur the wrath of the deity they represent. Champion Spirits and Nyseeli Courtiers are examples of Archangel class celestials. (Archangels can only be summoned by Celestialists of high end chronicles, with an exceptional Research roll).
