Occultist's Guide to Summoning - by T.A. Saunders ©2015 v1.0

Non-Humanoid Summon

Perhaps more common than even weakest humanoid summons, are non-humanoid summons. Because there are so many different sorts of non-humanoid creatures an occultist could feasibly summon, the spell must always be researched. A Fae-Whisperer can summon Faekin in this way, or the Niraethologist a small cephalopod from Beyond the Veil. In all cases, the creature type must be approved by an op, before any manner of research roll is performed.

These summons are likewise regulated by what the current chronicle type is: newbie chronicles will only have non-human summons in rough equivalent power to the type of humanoid summons the occultist would already have, and so on. Those occultists with the Research tradeskill who score an exceptional roll, will rather than gaining an exceptional single summons, instead gain the ability to summon 1d6 of the non-human summons, unless otherwise specified by an op.
