Fiyagi Plant

A distant relative to Khazaar’s muskplant, the Fiyagi does not grow the former’s ‘jug’.  Instead, this relatively common plant grows a large, low flower and tall central inflorescence that blooms for five days to a week before sprouting a cluster of berries.  Though edible, these berries have a foul taste and odor that is difficult to wash away. The berries have medicinal properties, especially for treating magical, nonmagical, and chemical burns.  The leaves and root of the Fiyagi are often consumed in western dishes, with the leaves of the plant tasting much like spinach and the root being a large tuber that tastes a great deal like yam.  The Fiyagi is found all over the west in and near jungles and wetlands.
